Kasia Bortnik ist Jazzsängerin und Komponistin. Das Diploma an der Folkwang Hochschule im Bereich Jazz Gesang bei Silvia Droste ermöglichte ihr als Studentin die Arbeit mit „ Landesjugend Jazz Orchester NRW „ mit der sie durch die Welt tourte und später bei den Projekten mit der Band „disquise“, „Komeda New Interpretations“ mit Joachim Mencel, Adam Pieronczyk und Kasia Bortnik Trio mitzumachen.
